Day master
辛 Sin · Yin Metal
RM's day master is 辛 Sin, Yin Metal. In saju the day master is the stem of the day pillar, and the rest of the chart is read from it.
Saju pictures 辛 as a cut jewel. Bias Match draws it as The Cut Jewel.
Chart
RM's three pillars
| Year | Month | Day | Hour | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stem | 甲 Gap · Wood | 癸 Gye · Water | 辛 Sin · Metal | Unknown |
| Branch | 戌 Sul (Dog) · Earth | 酉 Yu (Rooster) · Metal | 丑 Chuk (Ox) · Earth | Unknown |
Birth hours aren't public, so the hour pillar is left blank and no rising sign is given. The day pillar is worked out for noon, so for a birth close to midnight it could be the previous or next day's.
The three known pillars are year Gap-Sul (甲戌), month Gye-Yu (癸酉) and day Sin-Chuk (辛丑).
RM's zodiac animal is the Dog, from the year branch 戌.
On Sep 12, 1994 the sun was in Virgo, an earth sign.
The moon stayed in Sagittarius all day.
Five elements
Five elements in RM's chart
Counting the six characters of the three known pillars: Wood 1, Fire 0, Earth 2, Metal 2, Water 1.
Earth and Metal are tied for most common, and Fire doesn't appear at all.
Weighing the month branch most, the rest of the chart gives this Metal day master more than average support, so in saju terms the balancing element is Fire.
The most frequent ten-god family in the chart is the resource stars, read as learning and support (2 of the 5 characters counted).
Inside the group
Elements in common inside BTS
Inside BTS, the chart most similar to RM's by elements belongs to Suga: their Metal and Earth day masters sit side by side in the generating cycle, and their earth and water sun signs make a complementary pair.
The most different belongs to Jin: their Metal and Wood day masters form a checking pair, and their earth and fire sun signs make a contrasting pair.
This compares day masters, sun-sign elements and element balance only. It says nothing about how anyone gets along in real life.

Guide
How to read this page
- Day master
- The heavenly stem of the day pillar. In saju the whole chart is read from this stem.
- Three pillars
- Year, month and day, each a stem over a branch. The fourth pillar needs the birth hour, which isn't public.
- Five elements
- Wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Each of the six known characters carries one, and the bars add them up.
- Balancing element
- The element saju would add to even out the chart. It describes the chart's symbols, not the person.
- Ten-god families
- Five groups of relationships between the day master and the other characters: companion, output, wealth, officer and resource.
