Who we are & contact
Bias Match is a small, fan-made site. For any question about this policy, your data, or a report you bought, email hello@tiptoe.love — the same address used for support and refunds across the site.
What we collect
The birth date, birth time, country and (optionally) gender you type into the saju calculator, the match page, or the compatibility page are used only to work out a chart.
Free match
Your birth date, time, and country are used to calculate your chart. On the match page they travel with the request and are dropped once the answer is sent back; nothing is written down. For an hour after each match, the server's memory keeps only what your share card is drawn from — the score, the lines about the match, and the pillars and signs of both charts — never your birth date, time or country. Those pillars are still enough to work out a birth date, so the entry expires after that hour and none of it is ever written to disk.

The saju calculator works the same way: it sends your birth details and, if you choose one, your gender with the request, and nothing is written down or logged.
Free compatibility check
The compatibility page sends both people's birth details with one request, and nothing is written down or logged. For an hour after each free compatibility result, only the score and the three lines on a share image are kept in memory — never either birthday.
Paid reports (report, compatibility, or both)
While a payment is in progress, your birth details (and your gender, if you gave one) sit in a single short-lived file so the purchase survives a server restart. Our payment provider only ever receives a random reference to that file, never the details themselves. They are held for up to 30 minutes, then deleted.
We don't keep the birth date and time you typed. We do keep the chart worked out from them (your pillars, element balance, ten gods, day master strength, special stars, 10-year luck cycles, the pillar of the year it covers, and your sun, moon and rising signs), so your report link keeps working. Since 1 October 2026, a paid report contains no idol or group data at all, whether or not you picked a group on the match page. A report bought before then may still hold the group ranking you saw at the time (member names and scores) on our side, and may still contain idol names in its written chapters if the group's top matches had already been drafted into the text; email hello@tiptoe.love to have it removed or rewritten. Those chart facts are enough to work out your birth date, and roughly your birth hour if you gave one. If you chose a gender, it is used only to set the direction of your 10-year luck cycles. The gender itself is not saved, but the cycles worked out from it are, and they are enough to work it out too. Anyone with your report link can read it, so treat the link like a password. Alongside it we keep the written chapters, the access token in the link, the order number (so we can match a refund or support email to it), and when it was made.
Compatibility reports hold two people. The other person's birth date, time, country and gender (if you chose one) come from you and wait in the same short-lived order file, held for up to 30 minutes, then deleted. After payment we keep the same kind of chart for both people as above, the score and the kind of relationship you picked. Those chart facts are enough to work out both birth dates. Only enter someone who is fine with you entering their birth details.
Your browser
Your browser keeps your birth details in sessionStorage only to carry them within the same tab: to checkout (with your gender, if you chose one in the saju calculator), and from the saju calculator or the compatibility page to the match page (your own details only, never the other person's). The match page removes them as soon as it reads them, checkout removes them before you pay, and closing the tab clears them. Nothing else is stored on your device, and we do not use tracking cookies.
Payments
Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider, who is the merchant of record for the sale: they process your card, collect any tax, send your receipt, and handle refunds. Your card details never reach our server — we never see or keep them. Our server only receives a confirmation and an order reference once payment goes through.
Analytics
We keep our own, minimal usage counts — events like viewing the match page, picking a member, finishing a match, clicking share, or buying a report — to see where people drop off. These events carry no visitor identifier, no cookie, and no IP address, and your birth date and time are never included in them; even the few properties sent from the browser are capped to a handful of short values. If you arrive with campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source), a short, cleaned-up version of those tags may be recorded against the events from that visit, so we can see which campaign they came from; no other part of the URL or your browsing history is kept. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking service, and this site does not set tracking cookies.
AI processing
The written chapters of a paid report are drafted by an AI language model (Claude, from Anthropic). Only the derived chart facts described above — pillars, element balance, ten gods, day master strength, special stars, luck cycles, and zodiac signs — are sent to the model. Since 1 October 2026, no idol or group name, and no ranking, is ever sent, even if you picked a group on the match page; a report drafted before then may have had a short list of top-matching names and scores included in what was sent. Your raw birth date, birth time, country, and gender are never included in what is sent.
Retention & deletion
Free match and free compatibility results are not kept beyond the one-hour memory window described above. A paid report's chart data, written chapters, and order number are kept so your report link keeps working, with no automatic expiry. There is no self-serve delete button yet: to ask us to delete a report, email hello@tiptoe.love with your report link or the email you paid with, and we will remove the record by hand.
Pages under /groups and /idols
Pages under /groups and /idols, and the member list on the free match page, describe K-pop idols using only information that is already publicly available: their stage name, the groups they belong to, their agency and their public date of birth, with the source cited on each idol page (usually Wikidata). The same public facts appear in all three places — a group's member table, that member's own idol page, and the member list you pick from on the match page. From the birth date we work out saju and Western chart facts. We do not publish photos, birth times, birthplaces, family details or any other personal information, and we do not sell anything on these pages.
We publish these pages for fans' information and entertainment, which we consider a legitimate interest. If you are the person named on one of these pages, or act for them, you can ask us to correct or remove them at any time by emailing hello@tiptoe.love. We hide the idol page within 24 hours of receiving the request. Within 7 days we remove the person from the idol pages, the group pages and the match list, and from our sitemap and every other page that links or compares to them. You can also object to this use under data-protection law; we treat any objection from the person or their representative the same way, as a removal request across all three.
The same public facts are also listed by date on pages under /birthdays (stage name, group, birth year and the chart facts above), and counted, without names, on /zodiac-compatibility pages. A removal covers these pages too: the person drops off every birthday page when their idol page is hidden, and a date with no one left on it is taken down. People under 19 are never listed or counted on these pages.
Children
Bias Match is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email hello@tiptoe.love and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. See Terms & refunds for pricing, delivery and refunds, and About for a short summary of this page.
