Your chart, in words

A page from one report, not yours
You run on Yang Fire, and your chart is short on Water. You decide fast, then spend the night re-reading the message you already sent.
At work you tend to do your best where your voice is part of the job. When a role stops letting you make things, you start looking for a new path long before you say so out loud.
Water is your useful element. An evening walk by a river, a slow morning after rain, a blue notebook on your desk: small things like these tend to cool you down.
The chapter goes on. Yours is written from your own eight characters.
- 1 Who you areYour day master, drawn large, and the one trait people notice first.
- 2 Your elements and useful elementWhat runs heavy, what runs thin, and the element that steadies you.
- 3 Love and closenessHow you let people close, and what you do when it gets quiet.
- 4 Work and changing jobsThe setting where you do your best work, and why you change course.
- 5 Money habitsHow you earn, spend and save, and the blind spot your chart suggests.
- 6 Your everyday rhythmMornings, evenings, weekends: the pace your chart keeps.
- 7 Your 10-year luck cyclesYour decades on one line, with the one you are in now marked.
- 8 Your 2026 Fire Horse yearThe year's pillar against yours: what it leans on, what it stirs.

What the Fire Horse year brings and how it meets your pillars.

01
What the Fire Horse year means
A 2026 horoscope in saju starts with the year's own pillar: 丙午, byeong-o in Korean, the Fire Horse. The stem 丙 is yang fire, the open flame of the sun. The branch 午 is the Horse, which also belongs to fire and sits at the height of summer in the old calendar. Fire over fire makes this one of the hottest pillars in the 60-year cycle. It last came around in 1966.
In broad terms a double-fire year is read as bright, fast and visible. Things come out into the open, the pace picks up, and both warmth and impatience run high. But a year never means the same thing for everyone. What counts is how this fire meets the elements already in your chart. To a chart short on fire, 2026 can feel like sunlight after a long winter. To a chart already full of it, the same heat can feel like too much at once.

How a year meets your chart
In saju the pillar of each year is called the annual pillar, or seun. It works like a visiting fifth pillar set next to your own four for twelve months. The calculator reads it in three steps, and on this page the result appears right under your pillars.
First, the stem. 丙 is compared with your day master and given one of the ten gods. If your day master is water, 壬 or 癸, fire is the element you control, so 丙 arrives as a wealth star: effort turning into reward. If your day master is wood, 甲 or 乙, fire is what you produce, so it arrives as Eating God or Hurting Officer: output, expression and being seen for your work. For a fire day master it is Friend or Rob Wealth, for earth it is a resource star, and for metal it is an officer star.
Second, the branch. 午 holds 丁, yin fire, as its main hidden stem, so it is read the same way and gives the energy running underneath the year. The surface and the undercurrent can differ: yang fire on top and yin fire below land as two neighboring ten gods, such as Indirect Wealth over Direct Wealth for a 壬 day master.
Third, the branches in your chart. The Horse harmonizes with the Goat, 未, and clashes with the Rat, 子. If one of your pillars holds 未, the year pairs with it, which is read as cooperation and things fitting together in that part of life. If one holds 子, the year pulls against it, which is read as movement, friction and change around that pillar. A clash is not a curse; it shakes loose what was stuck. Your result names which of your pillars, if any, is touched.

When does the saju year 2026 start?
The saju year does not begin on January 1, and it does not follow the lunar new year either. It turns at Ipchun, the solar term that marks the start of spring, which falls around February 4. The Fire Horse year runs from February 4, 2026 to the start of spring in 2027. If you look at January 2026, you are still in the tail of the Wood Snake year, 乙巳. The same rule sets your own year pillar: someone born on January 20, 2000 has a 1999 year pillar, not a 2000 one.

Reading your year well
A year describes a climate, not a script. The ten gods it brings show which themes are louder than usual for you, and a harmony or clash shows where things are likely to move. None of it says what will happen, and two people with the same year can live it very differently. Read your 2026 as a set of tendencies to notice, compare it with your 10-year luck cycle if you add your gender, and keep what feels useful. This page is for entertainment and self-reflection.
