Day master
丙 Byeong · Yang Fire
Vernon's day master is 丙 Byeong, Yang Fire. In saju the day master is the stem of the day pillar, and the rest of the chart is read from it.
Saju pictures 丙 as the sun at midday. Bias Match draws it as The Midday Sun.
Chart
Vernon's three pillars
| Year | Month | Day | Hour | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stem | 戊 Mu · Earth | 甲 Gap · Wood | 丙 Byeong · Fire | Unknown |
| Branch | 寅 In (Tiger) · Wood | 寅 In (Tiger) · Wood | 申 Sin (Monkey) · Metal | Unknown |
Birth hours aren't public, so the hour pillar is left blank and no rising sign is given. The day pillar is worked out for noon, so for a birth close to midnight it could be the previous or next day's.
The three known pillars are year Mu-In (戊寅), month Gap-In (甲寅) and day Byeong-Sin (丙申).
Vernon's zodiac animal is the Tiger, from the year branch 寅.
The sun moved from Aquarius into Pisces on Feb 18, 1998, so the sign depends on the birth hour; this page uses noon, which gives Aquarius.
The moon stayed in Scorpio all day.
Five elements
Five elements in Vernon's chart
Counting the six characters of the three known pillars: Wood 3, Fire 1, Earth 1, Metal 1, Water 0.
Wood is the most common element, and Water doesn't appear at all.
Weighing the month branch most, the rest of the chart gives this Fire day master more than average support, so in saju terms the balancing element is Water.
The most frequent ten-god family in the chart is the resource stars, read as learning and support (3 of the 5 characters counted).
Inside the group
Elements in common inside SEVENTEEN
Inside SEVENTEEN, the chart most similar to Vernon's by elements belongs to Mingyu: their Fire and Earth day masters sit side by side in the generating cycle, and their air and fire sun signs make a complementary pair.
The most different belongs to Seungkwan and The8 (Seungkwan: their Fire and Water day masters form a checking pair, and their air and earth sun signs make a contrasting pair; The8: their Fire and Water day masters form a checking pair, and their air and water sun signs make a contrasting pair).
This compares day masters, sun-sign elements and element balance only. It says nothing about how anyone gets along in real life.

Guide
How to read this page
- Day master
- The heavenly stem of the day pillar. In saju the whole chart is read from this stem.
- Three pillars
- Year, month and day, each a stem over a branch. The fourth pillar needs the birth hour, which isn't public.
- Five elements
- Wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Each of the six known characters carries one, and the bars add them up.
- Balancing element
- The element saju would add to even out the chart. It describes the chart's symbols, not the person.
- Ten-god families
- Five groups of relationships between the day master and the other characters: companion, output, wealth, officer and resource.
